Reforming Family Law & Shared Support Debt

After the key fathers' event in April 2026, I appeared before the State House to champion family policy updates (see preventchildabuseri.org/fatherhood for context). I specifically pushed for HB 7690 and SB 2473, seeking child support pass-through increases to $100 and $200. Legislative progress is trackable at status.rilegislature.gov. I engaged with Rep. Handy and Jessica Vega to discuss these vital shifts. My late-evening testimony (near 8:00 PM) was received with genuine interest by the panel, even with the administration's stated friction at that time. I view this as a foundational victory for dads across RI. It was a moment of real accountability and a bridge toward better equity for our families.

Local Insight — Community Engagement & Public Dialogue

I stay actively engaged in broader community discussions, especially on issues affecting everyday residents across Rhode Island. During the recent utility rate crisis, I contributed detailed, data‑driven analyses to help people understand complex billing and regulatory changes. My focus remains on clarity, accuracy, and supporting informed decision‑making wherever it’s needed.

Utility Payer Oversight

Solar and Wind Farm

Due to RIE billing issues, I monitored PUC/AG updates closely. My advocacy utilized the WPRI audit findings and consumer protection resources from the RI Attorney General. I drafted a suggested Ratepayer Protection framework for public consideration. For official complaints, please contact the PUC at ripuc.ri.gov.
